Aldo's Sunday Selfies

When we asked for Sunday Selfie volunteers among the PAWS cats, our stunningly handsome (and super duper friendly) pal Aldo stepped up. It's pretty safe to say he nailed it, huh?

Aldo is just one year old. He's a purebred Flamepoint Himalayan, whose owners moved and decided they could no longer keep him. Once again, this "moving without your pet" thing positively boggles our minds ... especially when the cat involved (i.e. Aldo) possesses the sweetest and most tolerant personality ever. He is confident, likes to explore his surroundings, loves people, and enjoys being pet and brushed. He's also neutered, micro-chipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. In a nutshell, Aldo is pretty much purrfect. Come meet him soon!

  5. I thought reputable breeders take back their animals in situations like this, which makes me wonder if it was a "backyard breeder" or if Aldo's humans just didn't care enough to bother. I hope Aldo doen't wait long for his true forever home; the boys are sending him purrs.

  12. I don't get that leaving your cat when you move thing either, I once moved OUT of an apartment (with Bobo!) because when I found him pets were not allowed. Someone saw him playing in the window and reported me, I was given notice to get rid of him, (I didn't), then I got an eviction notice......I MOVED WITH BOBO. There wasn't a chance on this earth I would have given him up (and he had only been living with me a short period of time). Anyway, Aldo is so handsome! I tweeted him and posted him on Cody's page. This boy will find his furever home, I am certain! xoxoxo catchatwithcarenandcody

  18. I am shocked down to the tip of my floofy tail that Aldo ended up in a shelter...although yours is a wonderpurr shelter. At least now he's got a real chance to find a Forever Home. Soon I hope. You're a handsome dood, Aldo.

  19. Aldo is one handsome dude! And hes my age! If we lived closer...i'd send my Mommy down to pick him up...I could use a furrend to snuggle and play with!
Purrhaps Aldo's people were like the many people here in Vancouver. They have to move and can not find a place that will take their pet. It took Mommy 5 months to find one that would take Queen Penelope. If she had to move and had not taken that time, Queen Penelope might have had to go and live with Auntie Laurie or Daddy.
I am sure glad there are places like PAWS.

  21. What a stunner you are, Aldo! Just look at those eyes and those gorgeous furs! We also simply have no idea how someone could find themselves unable to take their beloved furbaby with them when they move. But, Aldo, we have faith that you will find yourself the most purrfect forever family very, very soon. Purrs!

  24. Aldo is so handsome. I can't understand people not taking their pet who is or should be part of the family with them when they move. I hope he soon gets the loving home he deserves.

  25. I'd ask what's wrong with humanity ... but unfortunately, I already know. Aldo is absolutely stunning. I was so glad to see on Facebook yesterday that he found his forever home - I'm praying it's every bit as wonderful as he deserves.
