Selfies by Phillipe

Look who raised his paw when we asked for volunteers for this week's selfie. It's our super gentle and friendly pal Phillipe! As you can see, he's a really good model.

Phillipe, who is about two years old,  was found wandering on the streets and fending for himself. Anyone who's ever met this sweet dude knows he must have been someone's pet at one time because he positively adores humans. Life on the streets was tough for Phillipe, and when he first came to PAWS, he had bad flea dermatitis, was very thin, and had tested positive for FIV*. With love and good medical attention, his dermatitis is gone and he is putting on some good weight. He's such a good boy, and he will be a great best friend for some lucky adopter. Phillipe is neutered and current on his vaccinations. Come meet him today, and fall in love!

* According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets."

We're participating today in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our wonderful friends at The Cat on My Head. Be sure to check out who's hopping along and/or join in on the fun!

  1. Aww, that's so sad he was on the street alone like that. What a handsome dude! A huge swell of purrs here for Phillipe to get a good home soon!

  2. Aww, I could see immediately in his sweet, soulful face, that this boy has seen a lot. It's so sad that he ended up on the streets (a lot like Big Merp's story). I hope he does find a wonderful loving forever home.

  6. Phillip, We agree with the Kitties Blue - you do look so melancholy. Come and play with Us in the Enchanted Forest and We will cheer you up. And when your Forever Human comes along, as We know he or she will, furry soon, you will be the happiest kitty ever!

  7. He indeed does look sad. I am so sorry that he was turned out like that to fend for himself. How cruel. Thank goodness he was found and that he came to you all. I really hope with all my might that he gets a family right away.
