Look who's here today. It's our gentle and friendly pal Gingerbread! And we'll just say we think this Gingerbread man(cat) is way more awesome (and handsome!) than the cookie one in that children's story.
This amazing kitty was
left behind by his family when they moved. As if that was not bad enough in and of itself, Gingerbread is front paw declawed, so leaving him outside to fend for himself was straight up unconscionable. Luckily for him, a kind neighbor took him in and
got him to safety, and now he's waiting for his real forever home at PAWS. Gingerbread is calm and affectionate with people, but would definitely do best as an only pet. He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV. Don't you agree that it's the purrfect season for some Gingerbread in your life?
We're participating today in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our wonderful friends at The Cat on My Head. Be sure to check out who's hopping along and/or join in on the fun!
Wow, look at those strong tabby markings and that dashing white vest! Handsome indeed! A huge round of purrs for Gingerbread to find a home!
ReplyDeleteGingerbread, you really deserve a fabulous, loving home. We hate you were declawed and then abandoned. You definitely were lucky to end up at PAWS. And we pray you have the most purrfect home in time to be spoiled for Christmas. Thanks for hopping. ReplyDeleteSomehow Gingerbread's face reminds me of a cheetah! Gorgeous! Hugs!

His previous owners were evil having him declawed, and doubly evil to abandon him. Declawing has been illegal in the UK since 2006 and I wish the US and other countries who still allow it would ban it too.
ReplyDeleteI googled to check the year it was banned here and unbelievably there were videos on You Tube on how to do it at home!! Despicable!

ReplyDeleteI 100% agree with the commenter above about a special place in hell for someone doing that to poor little Gingerbread (or any cat)! I'm so glad he's safe at PAWS while he waits for a family who deserves him.
