We don't know how our sweet, beautiful, and adoptable friend Starlight got her name, but maybe it's because of how her eyes twinkle as she gazes skyward?
Besides her amazing eyes and plush tabby coat, Starlight has a shining purrsonality that will make her an amazing best friend for whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. She came to PAWS after someone left her in a taped-up box outside of the town's animal control building. We'll refrain from judgement since don't know the back story, but we are glad she's now safe, and getting the love and care she so deserves. She loves people and gets along well with other nice kitties. Starlight is about 5 years old and current on her vaccinations. She'll be getting spayed on September 26. Then she will be ready to find her happily ever after! π
Starlight has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean she can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.
You're a beautiful Starlight and we hope you finds a furrever home soon✨Good Luck Pawkisses are on their wayπΎπ½π
