Tank, who is about 3 1/2 years old, was seen being dumped by his (lousy) former humans. Luckily, some good Samaritans rescued him, and he was eventually brought to PAWS. He's a gentle giant, and sweet as can be. He loves being pet and gets along well with other nice cats. Tank is neutered and current on his vaccinations.
Tank has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life. According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species.
Tank is such a good dude. To know him is to love him. So come meet Tank today, and fall in love!
Tank, we HATE your former humans for what they did. Mom thinks all people who dump their pets need to be jailed. Tank, your name is perfect! It doesn't need changing at all once you are adopted! And Hashbrown...wear it proudly! Yours too is a perfect name! Both of you need a mom and dad, and I sure hope they get in there today and see you. Maggie did a wonderful job of the Gilbran cat on the wall. :-)
