Callie's Sunday Selfies

This week's Sunday selfies are brought to you by our gorgeous and adoptable friend, Callie. We're pretty sure her name is short for calico (just a guess), which, as you can see, suits her perfectly. What might surprise you, though, is that she was apparently absent the day they were giving out the "tortitude" that lots of tortoiseshell and calico kitties seem to have. Defying that stereotype, Callie is sweet and gentle through and through.
Callie is about 14 years old, and ended up at PAWS after being surrendered when her family's son had to move back home with his dog. Callie was absolutely terrified of the dog, and the family made the sad decision to rehome her. It's a heartbreaking situation, to be sure. But Callie is being loved and cared for here, and she's ready to find her true happily ever after. She loves being petted, and enjoys spending time with her human pals. She's spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. We all love her, and know you will, too. Come adopt Callie today!

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

  7. O Mi Cod, beautiful Callie is too amazing to be real. I am so hoping for a happy ending. If I didn't have two calicos already I would scoop her up. I agree with the other comments above, Katie Isabella & Dash Kitten. Except...what's this about NO TORTITUDE? No way, that Callie cat is just playing innocent to get adopted. Good luck beautiful Callie!

  24. So put Callie in a bedroom with litter box, food and water and tell the dog to stay the hell out. 14 years old! It sounds like they didn't want to have to say goodbye by keeping her until she passed naturally. Where are you guys? That is a beautiful cat.

  25. Oh, and what happened to Callie was an outrage. Glad she landed with you and hope things work out well for her soon!

  27. Aww, Callie is so pretty. I hope she's adopted soon. Isn't it funny how some of the calico and tortie cats have so much "tortitude" and some have none? Our Tara has zero tortitude, but our Caroline has more than enough for both of them.
