(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Zahara

This is our friendly, gorgeous, and adoptable pal, Zahara. We think she's wonderful. Heck, we just met her on Sunday, and we already love her!

Zahara is 14 years old, and is kind of nervous and confused about being at the shelter. She wound up at PAWS after her former humans moved to a place that would not allow pets. We can't even imagine ever doing that to our fur babies - forever homes are supposed to be forever, right? Anyhow, we are glad Zahara is at PAWS, where she is being loved and cared for until she finds her real happily ever after. She is a really nice kitty! She's spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She will do best in a quiet home without small children. Zahara SO deserves a loving forever home. Is it with you?

  2. She is a beauty! I could never move to somewhere that wouldn't let me take my family.

  3. Poor love. Unless there were serious extenuating circumstances for moving to a place that doesn't take pets, there's really no excuse for giving up your animal companion, IMO. (Excluding health reasons, obviously.) We hope someone falls in love with her and gives her a wonderful home for the rest of her life. ♥

  9. We're so sad for Zahara. It must be furry worrisome being in a new place. Sending our purrs that she finds her real furever home soon.

  10. OMC...Zahara is Fiona when she was healthy. If only she could come live with us, but, of course, this is not a quiet home. Please give her kisses from me. If it looks as if she’ll be hanging around for some time, let me know and I will sponsor her. Hugs, Janet

  18. Poor Zahara - I can't believe people would dump a 14 year old cat like that! My human moved a BUNCH when she was younger, and she never, ever considered a place that wouldn't allow her cat. Not even for a split second.

  19. Poor baby! I can't imagine having a pet for that long and then giving them up - for any reason. Purrs that she finds a true forever home quickly.

  22. It should be illegal to not allow pets to live with their humans. And yes, it should also be a FOREVER home when a kitty is adopted! I'm glad Zahara is with the Superhero volunteers at PAWS, we're sending purrs and prayers and POTP for a REAL furever home for you pretty girl!

  27. Her eyes are so big and full of love! I can't imagine not taking my pets with me if we ever move again. If a place tells me that they can't come, that's clearly not the home for me!
