(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Bella

Our pal Bella is a great kitty who got stuck with an undeserved bad rap. You see, this gorgeous girl prefers to be an only cat, so she always came across as being a bit crabby when she lived in a room with other PAWS felines. All that changed recently, when Bella was placed in her very own room. It's as though she's a different cat!

She loves when Tracey and I hang out in "The Bella Suite" (and we enjoy doing so). Bella enjoys being pet, partaking of the catnip, and playing with various toys (her favorite happens to be a ball point pen).

She even climbed across our laps repeatedly this past weekend!

All this to say that we know Bella will be a wonderful and faithful best friend to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. But just keep in mind that she really does want to be your one and only. :)

Bella is about 9 years old. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. As mentioned, she is not a fan of other animals, but she does like humans and would be fine in a home with older children. Bella has been waiting for a long time, and is so ready for her very own happily ever after. All she needs is a chance. Come meet her today!

  1. Some kitties just like being onlies! My human's soul cat (the one before Sparkle) was one of those, and while she tolerated (barely) the cat my human had when she brought her home, and years later, when Binga came to live with the humans. But she was happiest during the years she was an only cat... in fact, the only other being living with my human! She did not like her boyfriend either.

  2. She would be the perfect cat for a vintage lady living alone ! I prefer to say vintage than "old" or "senior" sounds a bit better, lol !

  3. I have several cats that would like to be the only cat but that is way too hard to do here and they learn to get along. At least the outside cats do because they have so many places to hang out. Bella is a pretty cat. Have a great day.

  6. Bella is beautiful. And we understand about wanting to be alone. We purr she can find a special human to take her home.

  7. Angel Annie would have been much happier as an only cat, so we understand. We hope and purr that the right human will come along and give her her much-deserved forever home. Smooches to her. ♥

  9. You are so patient, pretty girl Bella. Hang in there, 'cause there is sure to be a human that will come to adopt you! In the meantime, I am glad that you have your own den so that you can be happier. BTW, I like playing with ballpoint pens on occasion, too! -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews

  11. Bella is precious! She is like my Angel Bobo was. He wanted NOTHING to do with other cats (or any other pets) which is why he was an "only" for 18 years. I had a blogger pretty much ream me out for only having one cat (both then and now), but sometimes you just have a cat that CHOOSES to NOT be with other cats! I totally "get" it!! She is precious!! catchatwithcarenandcody

  14. Poor Bella, I hope she gets a forever home soon. I like crabby cats, but she wouldn't like to be in a big kitty family.

  22. Bella is so beautiful! We all have unique needs. I don't do well in all environments either. It sounds like Bella just knows what she needs to be successful as a kitty. :) I hope she finds the perfect forever home soon.

  26. Dear Ms Bella,
I can understand...my new Mommy was worried that I was alone in my barren room too long in Tehran before I came to Canada and I would be that way too. But over the last 2 days I have been much more accepting of my cat siblings and the horrible beast is not Quite so horrible.

  27. I don't know why it's so hard to understand that, like humans, some cats are stressed by spending time with other cats. I'm glad PAWS is the exception. I hope Miss Bella finds her forever home soon and knows nothing but love, peace, and security for the rest of her life :)

  30. She's beautiful. And there's nothing wrong with her wanting to be the star of her own show. We all need our alone time sometimes, some of us just need a little more than others.
