A few weeks back, Tracey and I were checking out some of the newest PAWS cats. On one of the intake cages was a card that read, "Vine." I looked in, and gasped when I realized that the cute, round-faced adult kitty looking back at me was an old, dear friend who had been one of the first cats ever featured on our blog (back in January 2009).
Vine always had the sweetest, most loving disposition, and we never forgot this snuggly girl, even after she was adopted. When we opened the cage door, it was pretty evident she remembered us, too. And that she still had the same amazing personality. She popped right up and repeatedly rubbed her face against mine, all the while kneading her cat bed and purring away. :)
We found out that Vine came back to PAWS through no fault of her own. Sadly, her human became ill, and is no longer able to keep her. We can tell Vine's human loved her a lot, and took good care of her. And even though she's now a senior kitty (13 years old), it's clear she still has so much love to give, and so much life to live. Vine is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, micro-chipped, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Won't you please consider giving this beautiful lovebug the new forever home she wants and deserves?
What a beautiful and sweet girl. Purrs to you, Vine!

ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for adopting this super special and much loved kitty. We all love Vine so much, and were over the moon when we found out she was being adopted by a loving forever family. Please send updates and photos, okay? :)
DeleteYAY!!!!! Vine is such a loving kitty, I'm so happy she's already got a great home!
DeleteHow sad for Vine and her human. Her human must be heartbroken to have had to let her go. We fervently hope a loving, forever family will see how special a kitty she is and bring her home for one last and final forever. :)
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
That is so sad. I wish I could take her.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad when animals return to the shelter, but there are circumstances where it's unavoidable. Vine looks like a sweetheart. Hope she gets a great new home soon.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Vine. Glad for one thing, if you had to find another home, that you came back to PAWS and not somewhere else. Hope that T. Ellis and you are a good match. Purrz, Katie Kat.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very sweet. I hope she can find another good home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie… I love how you all recognized each other, although it makes me so sad too….
ReplyDeleteVine seems like a perfect kitty for people to adopt. I would do it myself if I lived closer. Sometimes people shy away from "Senior" cats. At only 13 Vine may have many more years of life to live. The last cat I adopted lived past her 25th birthday. I hope Vine finds her final permanent home very soon as losing another home & owner is so stressful for these older cats..
ReplyDeleteOh... precious darling... I do hope Vine finds a furever home again soon.
ReplyDeleteWe are sad to hear that Vine lost her forever home but are glad she is back at PAWS where she will be so loved and cared for. How wonderful that you can now spend time with her again and she with you, that is special. Purrs to her...
ReplyDeleteSad that Vine's human had to give her up...but we're glad you're helping her find a new home for her senior years.
ReplyDeleteOh beautiful Vine! I'm so sorry she is back--but I am also GRATEFUL that her human loved her so much that she gave her to PAWS to find her the purrfect furever home. Some wonderful person will take her and love her just the same. Purrs to you for keeping her safe and healthy while she waits...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and sweet girl !
ReplyDeleteSo sad to her that Vine´s human got ill and had to give her up :(
