A friend comes back

A few weeks back, Tracey and I were checking out some of the newest PAWS cats. On one of the intake cages was a card that read, "Vine." I looked in, and gasped when I realized that the cute, round-faced adult kitty looking back at me was an old, dear friend who had been one of the first cats ever featured on our blog (back in January 2009).

Vine always had the sweetest, most loving disposition, and we never forgot this snuggly girl, even after she was adopted.  When we opened the cage door, it was pretty evident she remembered us, too.  And that she still had the same amazing personality.  She popped right up and repeatedly rubbed her face against mine, all the while kneading her cat bed and purring away. :)

We found out that Vine came back to PAWS through no fault of her own. Sadly, her human became ill, and is no longer able to keep her. We can tell Vine's human loved her a lot, and took good care of her.  And even though she's now a senior kitty (13 years old), it's clear she still has so much love to give, and so much life to live.  Vine is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, micro-chipped, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.  Won't you please consider giving this beautiful lovebug the new forever home she wants and deserves?

  40. Vine seems like a perfect kitty for people to adopt. I would do it myself if I lived closer. Sometimes people shy away from "Senior" cats. At only 13 Vine may have many more years of life to live. The last cat I adopted lived past her 25th birthday. I hope Vine finds her final permanent home very soon as losing another home & owner is so stressful for these older cats..
