(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Tom and Andrew

Tom and Andrew had never met until they found themselves in the same room at PAWS. 

Tuxedo Tom and his magnificent whiskers!

Now they're pals who like to hang out and play together. 

Dreamy eyed Andrew, taking a breather after a nice long play session.

Both of these handsome mancats are neutered, micro-chipped and up-to date on all their vaccinations.  While both have tested negative for FeLV, they are positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus).  But please don't let that stop you from adopting one - or both - of these sweet-natured, cuddly and playful guys.  After all, "...FIV-positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration," even though "...they do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection..." (source: www.bestfriends.org)

    They're both so handsome. We're glad the word is getting out more and more that FIV cats ARE adoptable and can live together with non-FIV cats.

    Tuxedo Tom is absolutely gorgeous! (I have a tuxedocat though, so I might be biased! lol)

    They are incredibly handsome!!! You are right about Tom's whiskers and Andrew's eyes. If I could take in two more kitties, I would scoop them up. I can attest to FIV+ cats being able to live normal lives - my Sassy is FIV+ and has never been sick or had to go to the vet for anything other than her annual visit. Hope those two boys find their furever home soon, and hopefully together! I soooo wish I could take them...

    We could not agree more! FIV+ is not a death sentence by ANY means! Normal, healthy - as long as they get regular wellness checks and are kept indoors - away from exposure to those wayward kitties outside who might have kitty-colds they can catch!!!

    Both kittehs are so handsome!
    One of my 3 kittehs is FIV and it doesn't give her any problems at all.
