A Life Well Lived - Fly Free, Sparkle

Yesterday, the cat blogging world lost one of its brightest stars, when Sparkle the Designer Cat passed away at age 11.  Her wit and wisdom - so richly evident in her books and through her amazing social media presence - were unmatched, and she was an inspiration and a true and supportive friend.  Sparkle's greatest legacy will most certainly be her compassionate and tireless efforts on behalf of shelters and rescues, and for feral and homeless cats all over the world - even at PAWS, where she and her human recently sponsored three cats (Patch, Sweet Pea and Oreo) who are waiting for their forever homes.

Fly free, Sparkle.  You are truly one in a million, dear friend, and we will love and miss you always.  Thank you for all you have been to those of us fortunate enough to have known you, and for all that you will continue to be for so many.

    Yes, it was truly a sad day and a great loss of a wonderful kitty. I know some people can't understand why anyone would mourn a cat they never met in person, but it makes perfect sense to me. We get to know these blogging cats almost as well as we know the ones in our own homes, and our hearts break when it's their time to leave. RIP Sparkle. She will be forever in our hearts.
