Adorable and Adoptable Andrew

Just look at that smile.


This is our friend Andrew (also known as "Hobo," since he was found as a stray).  In case you're wondering if he's as sweet, snuggly and friendly as he looks, the answer is an unequivocal YES.  This gentle and easygoing mancat loves people and cats alike (not to mention HUGS), and he's quickly become a favorite of the shelter volunteers. :)

Andrew is about 4 years old, neutered, and up to date on all his vaccinations.  He has tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but is currently asymptomatic.  It's very important to keep in mind that, "...FIV-positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration, (although) they do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection and they do have a tendency to have bad dental disease." (source: Best Friends Animal Society)

Andrew is waiting to dazzle you with his sparkling personality, and his smile (which is even cuter in person).  Come meet him today, and fall in love! :)

    Who could resist that adorable face? FIV+ is NOT a death sentence. We hope some wise and understanding person seesthat with care and love Andrew will be an extraordinary addition. He deserves such an awesome forever home!

    He's become this volunteer's favorite! Andrew gets along well with other cats as well as people. He welcomes all visitors to Cat Room #5.

    This is Trixie and Lily! We started our new blog (in case you don't recognize our ID, that is why.) Andrew looks like a very huggable cat! We're not allowed to get another kitty where we live now, but Mama says when we do, she'd think about getting a cat with FIV... but if it was a cat instead of a kitten, he'd have to be good with dogs and not mind Lily's barking!!!

    aww, Andrew has the sweetest smile :) our mom was just reading some stuffs on vaccines and saw something interesting that a cat vaccinated for FIV will test positive for the disease. Maybe Andrew had been vaccinated at one point? anywho, we are purring for him to find his furrever home soon!
