Friday Fun with Sheba!

We love seeing the transformational effects of patience and love on kitties having a hard time adjusting to life at the shelter. We recently posted about sweet Sheba, who has become a totally different kitty than the one who used to shun attention by facing the back corner of her cage.  Sheba now seeks out pets and affection whenever her favorite humans visit.  And we just discovered she LOVES interactive video games.  Check out this clip of her playing "Crazy Cat," on our Kindle Fire!

Sheba's high score is 851,300.  She's hoping to beat it this weekend.

Wishing you a weekend that's as fun as Sheba's! :)

  3. I think we would have to worry about Humphrey having a Kindle. It would never be the same.

  4. This is such a great way to stave of boredom! Maybe Kindle or iPad could donate a bunch to shelters?

  7. Sheba is the LAZIEST PLAYER EVER!!! She only goes for the target when it comes close enough to her nice soft pink beddie that she doesn't have to move a muscle (well, except in her paw!) to catch it! Ha ha ha ha ha! And my Human says *I'm* a Lazy Player.

  24. Aw, now we feel bad! (No, okay, truthfully *I* do not feel bad at all because you know, it's against my feline NATURE to feel bad.)But the Human says she was just teasin' Sheba about being a Lazy Player--she says there are kitties (she even says *I* am one, but I beg to differ) who like to play but wait for the toy to come to *them* instead of expending the energy to chase it--you know how we kitties like to conserve our energies.

But for now, we'll give Miss Sheba the benefit of the doubt and tell her "Good Girl" for starting to play. XOXO

  26. We gotta get Mommy (OUR Sheebie) to download that game!

How wonderful to see Sheba blossoming.

  27. Sheba is really good at that, especially as she uses both paws. Calista will play those games a little bit, but most of us just watch the mouse or whatever other image it is, scurrying across the screen. 37. Love it, love it! I'm so happy to read that Sheba is warming up to love and interaction. I suspect she might be more adept at working her tablet than I am at mine! :-)

  38. I admire your work at the shelter and know that Sheba does too. She is beautiful and will make some techy a wonderful pet. I have a "Cat Movie" that I put on the TV ... it has bugs walking and flying across the screen ... my cats are all mesmorized by it. Might be a fun thing to try for Sheba and other kitties who need help coming out of their shell ...

  39. As I suspected, even a cat is better on a tablet than I am. Never mind. Hope she finds a lovely home anyway.
