(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Doodle

Adorable (and adoptable) Doodle is a very sweet girl.  She's a little shy, but share some catnip with her and she'll be your BFF! :)

As we shared over the weekend, we're a finalist in the "Best Rescue/Cause Blog" category of the 2013 Petties.  We also mentioned that we are thrilled to be in the company of so many blogging friends, including our wonderful pals at Pet Blogs United, who are finalists in the "Best Overall Pet Blog" category.  In an amazingly kind and generous gesture, Pam and Oskar have pledged that if they win THEIR category, they'll donate the prize money to PAWS.  How cool is that?!  Thank you, Pam and Oskar.  You rock!

PLEASE VOTE DAILY for Animal Shelter Volunteer Life for Best Rescue/Cause Blog (and for your other favorite pet blogs, too, including Pet Blogs United for Best Overall Pet Blog) now through July 31 (and invite anyone and everyone you know to do the same).  Especially since the PAWS animals will benefit. :)

    Would you mind going over to Catonsville Cats and reading the review I posted today of the new kitten care ebook by the dailykitten people? I was horrified when I read the contents of the Amazon preview, and I wrote a review there and also put it on my blog. The rescue community needs to be sure to put the word out about this book. It's shocking. Did you know kittens from breeders are more likely to be healthy and friendly? Sigh. I hope to see more people expressing unhappiness about this book. Thanks...
