Kitten season is upon us.

  1. What a cutie! But this makes us sad because so many need a home and this just adds to the problem. We are sure the kittens will find a good home, and the poor adults will sit and wait.

  2. I purr for the day when all kittens are wanted, and no adult cats are homeless.

  12. My husband and I are the proud adopters of this little bundle! We named him Maneki Neko and he joins our family of shelter cats! We usually adopt adults, but due to the dynamics of our existing furry family, a baby kitten is the best fit.

  16. He is beautiful! Such a dilemma of mixed emotions is Kitten Season. Because new life IS miraculous and fresh and beautiful. And kittens are deserving of loving homes too . But of course older cats will sit and wait that much longer as kittens take precedence over older, possible adoptees.Oh for a perfect world where all animals have safe and loving homes! We hope this little bundle of joy finds his perfect family :)

Good luck homing all the sweet babies.

  21. Yes, it's a bittersweet post, for obvious reasons. Oh how we wish humans would respect All Beings and would spay/neuter their cats (and dogs)!

  30. So sweet and looks like a pedigree too, so it shows that there are sometimes pedigree cats available at shelters as well as "moggies".

Thank you for your kind comment on Kizzie's blog.

  33. Yes, with a face like that, no words are needed :)

  34. Kitten season indeed. Cute or not we need more neuter/spay. Kittens grow up into unwanted cats filling shelters but I'm preaching to the converted :-)

  35. He is gorgeous but we are sad there are so many looking for their forever homes.

  36. Yes, she/he is gorgeous. I'm involved with our local rescues and I know the consequences of more kittens. I, too pray for a time when all cats will have a loving home. Wishful thinking, I know. In our area (outside of Ottawa, Ontario) the problem seems to be worsening. I don't understand the lack of concern for unwanted cats. The spays are up around $300 now. The vet clinics and hospitals are a big part of the problem. We need reasonably priced spay and neuter clinics. Deb

  37. When I am healed completely, I will go back to my bottle-feeding mission. I love doing it, and there is such a need. You are doing wonderful things. Bless you. ~Hugs~
