We love Ian! This handsome mancat is super-friendly, and loves playing and getting attention from his favorite staff and volunteer pals. And as you can see from these pictures, sometimes he enjoys curling up in a nice warm lap.
Ian is about 9 years old, neutered, microchipped, current on all his vaccinations and has tested negative for FeLV. Ian *does* have the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which despite its scary name, is NOT a death sentence. In fact, many FIV-positive cats like Ian live long, healthy and happy lives. Ian should be an indoor only cat. He does not care for dogs or small children, but gets along with some cats. Won't you come meet this special guy today? :)
Aw, he has such a happy face! We hope he finds a home real soon!!
ReplyDeleteIan looks like a perfect gentleman! The dear boy deserves a loving lap to curl up in and a safe forever home to share...sending White Dog woos that he is carried off by a wonderful life mate soon.
ReplyDeleteIan looks lovely and sweet. Au is FIV positive and he will be 14 next month; FIV is pretty easy to deal with really. Good luck, Ian!

What a handsome boy. We've only had one FIV positive cat for adoption (we have another, but Grandpa Tom is a lifer, 17 years old with broken pelvis when we took him in). Jasper is a gorgeous flame point siamese mix who was super friendly. Everyone wanted him until they learned he had FIV. I even created a tri-fold brochure on FIV and how it's not scary but still, eyes glazed over when you mentioned it and people shut down. He was eventually adopted into a great home. I have no doubt that people are more progressive in their thinking in your area, so very much hoping that someone meets Ian, realizes FIV is not scary, and adopts him soon. What a gorgeous boy.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't care for dogs or small children - that boy is right up my alley if I didn't have several cats of my own and several of our "long-term residents" (aka lifers due to behavioral issues - mainly biting, scratching inappropriately).
You are such a handsome boy Ian and I hope you get to go home really soon!
ReplyDeleteI wish him all luck of the world to get a nice forever home, he has such a sweet face !
ReplyDeleteIan, we hope there is an angel out there just waiting to scoop you up into the flutter of their wings and take you to your forever home :) We will keep our paws crossed for you!
ReplyDeletethe critters in The Cottage xo
What a good looking guy you are Ian. We sure would like to take you home but we have just a few too many animals here. But you look like a great cat and there is nothing better than adopting an older cat.
ReplyDeleteHe sure knows how to do the relaxing right.
ReplyDeleteYou can tell that Ian is sweet by that adorable face! Oh! What a sweetie!
ReplyDeletehe is adorable. I love the name Ian too (the name of my dear brother). He is a most endearing feline. I would if I could. He won;t be long for a home, I hope. Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx

Ian looks very comfortable and contented there. Love his expression in the last picture. We hope he finds a nice indoor home with lots of comfort and love. It is true that FIV-positive cats can live a long full life.

Oh Ian. My mom is hopeless every single time she comes here. Who would not like an elder Statesman such as yourself with all the creamy ornj you have and the soft soft white. xoxoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like a special guy. We hope he finds an understanding home soon. We had a couple kitties who were exposed to feline leukemia and never developed the disease, so we hope his FIP+ doesn't scare people. It would be too cool if his future home has a kitty who will be the kitty love of his life! That is our wish for him.
ReplyDeleteoh what a handsome mancat! (thats the mom not the hansie talking!)
