Mancat Monday - Cecil

Cecil is one of the sweetest, snuggliest mancats we know. He loves people and gets along well with other cats, too. He also plays like he's a kitten!

Cecil is about 7 years old, and was found as a stray, even though he is declawed. He was INCREDIBLY lucky to survive out in the wild without his claws.

We're so glad he found his way to PAWS, where he can live safely until he finds his forever home. Cecil is neutered, up to date on all his shots, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

  10. I want to kiss Cecil!!! What a handsome kitty :) My heart broke a bit when I read that he was declawed. Must have been painful and also means that he was someone's kitty before being left out in the wild :( Hope he finds a forever home soon!

  23. He looks a very sweet boy and we hope he soon gets a lovely forever home. We think declawing is evil, and for someone to abandon him without claws makes it twice as bad.Poor boy.

  25. Cecil looks very sweet and looks like he's a lot of fun, too, from the way he's rolling around like that. We're glad he found is way to PAWS (particularly without his claws to help him living outside) and hope he finds his forever home soon.

  27. Now that's one handsome Dude! That's the one thing about declawing. If they get outside and get lost, they have no protection. So thankful he was able to get along without his claws.

  39. Oh Cecil..Im so glad you made to PAWS! I sure wish people knew what it does to a cat when they declaw it. I think if they had more info on it they would not do it. Thank goodness Cecil survived out there. He is helpless. God Bless Him.
