We have so much fun interacting with amazing animals like Bebe and her brother Buddy. And though it's a big reason for why we spend so much time at the shelter, it's only part of the bigger picture of why we volunteer. That's why I was so pleased when I was recently asked by our friends at the always wonderful Responsible Pet Ownership blog to share about our experiences at PAWS! We've just been informed that our guest post is up, so if you've ever wondered about what it's like to volunteer at a no-kill shelter (or just want to know more about why Tracey and I do what we do), please click HERE.
Have a great day! :)
Yoo guys rock. Fact. We are so proud to know yoo. Animal volunteers are the most amazing people. Fanks.
ReplyDeleteThose two are such cute little characters!! I bet they get a home really soon!
ReplyDeleteThose are very cute pictures of Bebe, with the "peek-a-boo" eyes!
ReplyDeleteI'll check out your guest post. But I am already sure it is a very rewarding experience for both you and the cats.
Bebe, you are too cute to play a game of peek a boo. We read the article and it was wonderful. We also sure do thank you for all the volunteering that you do. It is so important that those kitties that have to live in a shelter get all the love they can. You volunteers are so important in getting them all homes. Thanks so much. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe saw your guest post yesterday! Thank you for all you do for the kitties!! We love you guys!!
ReplyDeleteWe saw the guest post and we thought it was great! We really think you guys are awesome!
ReplyDeleteBebe, your eyes are just so adorable!
Peek-a-boo is a great game to play with our humans! Annie liked to play chase too, and have the mom chase her through the house and "catch" her.
ReplyDeleteWe'll check out the post as soon as we can. We know you do amazing work--everyone who volunteers/fosters/works to save lives and help in some way is to be deeply thanks.
Blessings and Light from all of us at Fuzzy Tales
That was a great article. And we luff those little faces, so adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love it when Bebe pops up like that. She's got the most beautiful bright eyes. She and Buddy are such calm, friendly, great cats that it's hard to understand why they're still at the shelter.
ReplyDeleteYour article is really excellent!
we think it is just wonderful what you guys do for the cats at PAWS! More folks should volunteer!

ReplyDeleteThat Bebe is such a cutie-pie! I just came back from reading about you over at the other place, that was such a great article, it made my whiskers grin up!
ReplyDeleteYou are heroes! Imagine if every cat or pup got the love and attention you provide, on a daily, regular, forever home basis. We are so grateful that in the interim, there a compassionate hearts like yours that are there to calm and make feel secure, and give attention to animals who have known such hardship.
ReplyDeleteOH OH OH! HOW sweet is BEBE!!! I just stay in love when I come here. I wish I knew where a no kill shelter is. I would go to volunteer in a heart beat. Or rather Mommy would. MOL.

Nice job, Kevin! And so very true! My time at PAWS is so uplifting, despite the heartbreaking reality for many of those animals. They have so much love to give - right down to the grumpiest cat...it's always in there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteJasmine was my "project" when I first started at PAWS. At that time she would cower in corners and try to stay out of reach of human hands. I would sit on the floor and wedge my arm into her hiding spot and just scratch her head for as long as I could keep my fingers moving. Eventually she let me pet more and more of her, and now she begs to have her back rubbed. It is a beautiful thing to gain the trust of an animal! :-)
It is a very good job you do and for me it's an honor to have friends like you
