Big Daddy's Selfie

On Wednesday, we shared with you about handsome and gentle Marcus. Who better, we thought, to pose for this week's selfie than his best buddy Big Daddy?

At about one year old, Big Daddy is the perfect mix of youthful energy and affectionate companionship. He’s playful, cuddly, and wonderfully extroverted. He adores people and gets along beautifully with other cats.

Big Daddy also has a heart as big as his personality. He’s helped his shy best friend and roomie (Marcus), come out of his shell, showing just how gentle and supportive he can be. Because of their special bond, we’d love nothing more than to see these two adopted together. Both Big Daddy and Marcus are neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all their vaccinations. He was so shy when he first arrived at PAWS, and would very rarely emerge from the cubby in his cage. But with love and attention from the kind volunteers and staff, Marcus has begun to realize that he is in a safe and caring place. He really enjoys getting pets from and being talked with by favorite peeps!

 

This sweet housepanther now lives in an open/cageless room with other nice cats, and a window from which he can watch (and chatter at) the birds that are outside.

April Fools' Day may be upon us, but we're not joking when we tell you our handsome and adoptable friend Stephen King is as sweet as they come.

 

We enjoyed getting to know this gentle senior kitty last weekend, and can attest that he loves people and gets along well with other nice cats.

This week's selfies are brought to you courtesy of our handsome and adoptable new friend Popple. He's still pretty new to PAWS, but it's clear he knows a thing or two about posing for the camera!

Popple is about 2½ years old. He was found as a stray near a parking lot dumpster, and is now learning to feel safe at the shelter -- and quickly showing his affectionate side.

He loves pets and attention, is friendly, playful, and curious, and gets along with other nice cats. Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, Popple is ready to find a forever home where he can love and be loved. Come meet him today!

You may also recall we mentioned they had an equally awesome sister named Suzy Q who wasn't available for pictures that day. Well, guess who volunteered for this week's selfie? If you guessed it was Suzy Q, you would be correct! 💖

In this next photo, Suzy Q was checking out the action in the hallway. It always makes us smile when the cats do this.

Our beautiful friend Athena is still waiting to be discovered by her new forever best friend.

 

 

She's not a fan of other cats, but she positively adores her human pals at PAWS. We love how she meows through the window of her room to invite us to spend time with her. And that she's a lap cat when the mood strikes -- I sat down right after taking this photo, and little Miss Athena climbed into my lap and promptly fell asleep.

Our pal Charlotte is a petite tabby with a larger than life personality. She’s the official greeter of her open room at PAWS, excitedly welcoming each visitor with cheerful meows, rumbling purrs, and affectionate head bonks.

As you can see, her beautiful eyes and natural charm make her a wonderful model for anyone snapping a photo.

Charlotte is affectionate, playful, and endlessly curious. She adores people and gets along well with other nice cats. She’s microchipped, spayed, and current on her vaccinations.

Mindy and Spirit (and their equally adorable sister Suzy Q, who is not pictured in this post) are 8-month-old sister “cow cats” rescued from a home where a love for cats got out of hand without spaying and neutering. With their adorable spotted coats and playful personalities, this well-socialized trio is absolutely chock full of charm! All three girls are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations -- and ready to bring a lifetime of love to their forever homes. Come meet them at PAWS today!

 

Sister Selfies: Bernie and Boopsie

Beautiful Bernie and Boopsie were quick to raise their pretty paws to volunteer for this week's Sunday Selfies. Didn't they do a great job? These friendly one-year-old tabby sisters were rescued after being discovered living together in a basement. We're glad they're now at PAWS, where they're waiting to be discovered by their new forever family.

Bernie, a beautiful brown tabby with adorable ear tufts, is as charming as she is cuddly. Her sister Boopsie, a soft light gray tabby, is just as sweet. Both girls are affectionate, gentle, playful, and especially fond of snuggle time.

At the shelter, they enjoy being pet and spending time with their human friends, and they also do well with the other friendly cats in their open, cage-free room. Their easygoing personalities make them a wonderful match for a calm, loving home.

Selfies by Sprinkles

Our adorable new friend Sprinkles wants everyone to know she's ready to sprinkle a whole lot of love into the life of whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. 💕

She's a black and white “cow cat” with truly unique, eye-catching markings that make her stand out from the crowd. Sprinkles was picked up with her siblings from a managed community cat colony, and while PAWS was a bit overwhelming for her at first, she’s definitely starting to find her footing!

This curious and gentle girl is still on the quiet side, but every day she comes out of her shell a little more. She loves getting gentle pets and being being pet spoken to softly - something we experienced first-hand this weekend! She's sweet and snuggly, but also has a playful streak that shines through once she feels comfortable!

Sprinkles - who is still a kitten - is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations, so she’s more than ready to head home with her forever family. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted companion with distinctive looks and a truly beautiful soul, Sprinkles just might be the kitty for you.
