Mojo's Selfie and Easy

This strikingly handsome dude is our new friend Mojo. As you can see, he definitely knows how to work the camera. He's also adept at relaxing, when the mood strikes.

3 1/2 year-old Mojo ended up at PAWS after being found as a stray. He was surely someone's kitty, because this gentle mancat loves being pet and snuggled by his human pals. He has so much love to give to the special person who decides to adopt him. Mojo is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations.

Mojo has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species. He is also positive for heartworm, for which there is no treatment. Periodic chest x-rays are recommended for monitoring, as well as applying Revolution on a monthly basis.

Despite the fact that he's got some strikes against him, Mojo is a happy-go-lucky guy who just needs a chance. All he wants is love (Okay, and maybe some snacks. And some catnip. And maybe a lap.). Come meet Mojo today, and fall in love!

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Scarlet

This is our super sweet, gorgeous, and adoptable friend Scarlet. Can't you just see the love in her eyes?

If you remember adorable orange and white kittens (already adopted) Rigatoni and Tortellini from this recent post, well, Scarlet is their mama. And now you know where they got their good looks and wonderful purr-sonalities. πŸ’–

Scarlet is about 3 1/2 years old, and she's ready to find HER loving forever home now, too. She is waiting to be spayed, but once that happens she will be, as they say, good to go. All Scarlet needs now is a chance. She will undoubtedly be an amazing best friend to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her.

Panda's Selfies

Okay, so you know how our most recent post was about Clifford the (house) panther? Continuing right along with the official "PAWS cats who kind of remind us of wild animals" tour is our awesome and adoptable new friend Panda. As you can see, it appears he was named because his markings are kind of reminiscent of, well, a panda! 😸

Panda is only about 1 1/2 years old, and ended up at PAWS after being found as a stray. He's a little shy with new people, but warms up quickly! He loves being pet, and definitely enjoys hanging out with his human buddies. Panda is microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He's not yet neutered, but once he is (soon, we are told), he will be 100% ready to find his forever home. He is such a sweet and loving cat. Come meet Panda today!

(Almost) Wordless Clifford

If you've ever wondered why black cats are sometimes called "house panthers," we've got a little photographic insight into the matter. We'd like to introduce you to our devastatingly handsome, friendly, and adoptable pal Clifford. Does he look like an actual miniature black panther in this photo, or what?

Even though he looks super serious in that first shot, big Clifford wants you to know that he is, in reality, a playful and happy-go-lucky guy.
Clifford is about 5 1/2 years old, and came to PAWS after being found as a stray. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He gets along with other nice cats, and adores people (and catnip). Oh, and lest we forget ... he is also a total lapcat. Come meet Clifford today, and fall in love! πŸ’–

Selfies: James, Moony and Sirius

Those of you who have read the Harry Potter books are no doubt familiar with the characters these kittens were named after. We must say, there IS something magically adorable about brothers James, Sirius and Moony! Just look at them, and prepare to be enchanted.πŸ’–

James, Moony and Sirius are about three months old. They're all super friendly, sweet and playful. They are also all neutered, current on their vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come and meet these cutie pies today, and fall in love!

(Almost) Wordless Jesse

Check out our amazing and adoptable little buddy Jesse. We kid you not when we tell you this tuxie fella has the most wonderful, happy go lucky personality ever. As you can see, he also happens to be super adorable!

Jesse is about 11 weeks old. He's playful, friendly, loves people, and gets along with other nice kitties (we know this because he lives in one of the open (cage-free) rooms at PAWS). He's neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. In case you're wondering about his cloudy left eye, it's from an old infection. It does not bother Jesse at all; it will not get better or worse, and requires no care. We think it kinda gives him a little character/flair. πŸ˜ΊπŸ’– Jesse is so ready to find his new BFF. Maybe it's you?

Selfies by Rigatoni and Tortellini

They may be small, but brothers Rigatoni and Tortellini are mighty when it comes to selfies. As you can see, these boys already know their stuff when it comes to posing just so!

Rigatoni

Tortellini

Rigatoni and Tortellini are pretty new to PAWS, so we're just getting to know them. What we can already tell you is that they are sweet, friendly, and playful. They also seem pretty bonded, so we would love for them to be adopted together. Rigatoni and Tortellini are neutered, current on their vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. These cuties are all ready to find their happily ever after. Is it with you?

(Almost) Wordless Sassy

This is our friend Sassy, whose name is kind of misleading, because she's not really "sassy" at all. Sweet? Yes. Playful? Definitely. Beautiful? Uh huh. A little bit shy with people she doesn't know? Sometimes. Awesome and adoptable? For sure. But "sassy?" Not so much. 😹

Sassy, who came to PAWS after her family moved, is still a bit nervous at the shelter, but really likes having attention from people she knows. She gets along with other nice cats, and we know she will blossom in a loving forever home. Sassy is about 6 years old, spayed, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Come meet her today, and fall in love!

Smokey's Selfies

We're always excited when one of the newest PAWS cats volunteers its paw to take part in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. That's exactly what happened this week, when our sweet and handsome new friend, Smokey, raised his paw. He did great, don't you think?

Smokey is about 15 years old, and sadly, wound up at the shelter after his human passed away. He was pretty out of sorts at first (who can blame him?), and is still getting used to being here. But we spent some special and amazing time with him this weekend. Smokey has the loudest, rumbliest purr ever, and loves being pet once he trusts you. And oh yeah ... lap cat alert! He fell asleep on my lap, happy as can be. I'm fairly certain he would have preferred I stay there permanently (or at least until HE felt like getting up). Smokey is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. He so deserves to find a new forever home. Could it be yours?
