Sibling Selfie: AJ and BJ

Check out 6 month-old brothers, AJ and BJ, with a special Easy Like Sunday Sibling Selfie. Notice how they're "holding" each other's front paws? πŸ’• Wouldn't it be great if these sweet boys could be adopted together?

AJ and BJ are both neutered, microchipped, current on their vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. They get along famously with other nice kitties, and enjoy spending time with us humans, too. These boys would be a great addition to almost any household. Come meet them, and fall in love!

It's Sunday, which means we're hopping along in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by our pals at The Cat On My Head. Be sure to check it out to see who else is hopping along (or to join in on the fun)!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Patches

Just LOOK at that face. Doesn't our pal Patches look like the sweetest, snuggliest, loviest ladycat ever? Well, we're happy to report that this is one of those times when what you see is exactly what you get, because she really is all that!

Sadly, this sweet 7 year-old came to PAWS when her family fell on tough times. We can only imagine how hard it was for them, and for Patches. We're told she has lived with children and dogs, and did well with both. She is front declawed, but fortunately, has none of the issues that so often arise from that. Patches is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She so wants and deserves a new best friend. Could that be you?

Black Jack and Oscar's Selfies

After they saw their roommate Houdini's cameo with Uncle Cinnamon, look who raised their paws to take this week's selfies. It's our adorable little pals, Black Jack and Oscar!

Besides being cute to the nth degree, these two are friendly, playful, and even enjoy snuggles when the mood strikes (as evidenced by the first photo of Black Jack). Both get along well with other friendly cats and would be a great fit in almost any home. Oscar is about 11 weeks old, neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. Black Jack, who is about 12 weeks old, hasn't been neutered yet, but is already microchipped, current on his vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.  These boys are ready to bring some serious joy to some lucky adopters. Come meet Black Jack and Oscar at PAWS today!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Uncle Cinnamon

Have you ever wondered what happens when you put some rambunctious (but sweet) kittens in the same open room as a big male kitty? Well, if that big cat happens to be our buddy Cinnamon, all will be fine.

This sweet mancat is so patient and gentle with them that we might just start calling him "Uncle" Cinnamon. Here he is with little Houdini. She's still a little shy with people, but not with Cinnamon.πŸ’•

Cinnamon is about 5 years old, and ended up at PAWS after being found as a stray. He is super mellow, friendly and affectionate, and loves people and cats alike.

Cinnamon is neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccinations. He has tested positive for FIV, but it's important to remember this does not mean he can't live a long and happy life! According to Best Friends Animal Society, "FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if they’re well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets." FIV cannot be passed to other cats through casual contact, or by sharing food, water, or a litter box. Nor can it be passed to people or other pet species. Cinnamon is so ready to find his happily ever after. Is it with you?

Anais' Sunday Selfies

Our sweet and gentle friend Anais raised her pretty paw to volunteer for this week's Sunday Selfie. As you can see that she's a natural when it comes to posing for photos!
4 year-old Anais is a shy and reserved girl who came to us from another shelter where she was very scared. Since her arrival at PAWS, her confidence has grown and her true personality has begun to emerge. This beautiful ladycat enjoys attention and hanging out with her volunteer buddies. Anais is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. We know she positively blossom in a quiet, patient and loving home. All she needs is the chance. Could it be with you?

(Almost) Wordless: Brothers from Another Mother?

These two cuties fit together just like two peas in a pod. But would you believe Duffy (on the left) and Ray aren't related? It's true. These two young housepanthers found each other in an open room at PAWS, and as you can see, they've become fast friends. 😸😺

Duffy is about 2 1/2 months old, and Ray is about 4 months old. Duffy is more outgoing, but both enjoy being pet, playing, and get along well with the other kitties in their room. One of those kitties happens to be Duffy's (biological) brother Elwood, who wasn't available when we were taking photos (but he's just as cute and sweet as Duffy and Ray). All three boys will be great best friends for whoever is lucky enough to adopt them. Wouldn't it be great if they could all be adopted together?

Selfies by Cookie and Noodles

This week's Sunday Selfie is brought to you by sweet and adoptable friends, Cookie and Noodles. Aren't they beautiful?
Cookie
Noodles
These two sweethearts are about 9 years old, and came to PAWS together. They love being pet and getting attention from their human pals. They are fine with other nice cats, too! While they get along with each other, Cookie and Noodles are not overly bonded, so they can be adopted together or individually. (Editorial comment: we certainly would like it if they could stay together ... just saying.)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Tiger Lily

This beautiful ladycat is our pal Tiger Lily. She's about two years old, and ended up at PAWS after being found as a very friendly stray.
Tiger Lily is still a little bit nervous about being at the shelter, but she is gaining in confidence with each passing day! Once she knows you, she loves being petted and enjoys hanging out. We're not sure yet how she is with other cats, but we know she would definitely be a great BFF to whoever is lucky enough to adopt her. Tiger Lily is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's ready to find her happily ever after. Is it with you?

Nanar's Sunday Selfie

For what seemed like the longest time, most of the PAWS volunteers knew there was a cat in the bottom middle cage in Room 2. But we had never actually seen more than a paw or two, sticking out from underneath the cat bed that was in there. With love, patience and kindness allaying that kitty's fears of being in the shelter, we're happy to report that we have a sighting, and more! Her name is Nanar, and she is adorable and learning that the humans here are trustworthy and kind. It also turns out she knows how to rock a selfie. Just look!

Nanar is only about three years old, and came to PAWS after her owner passed away. She's a sensitive and shy girl, who was overwhelmed by the unfamiliar sights, sounds and smells at the shelter. As heartbreaking as it was to know she was under that bed, our spirits have soared as she's gained in confidence and started to reveal her sweet personality. As you can see in this video, she even likes being pet and getting attention from her pals now.πŸ’–

Nanar is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. We know first hand that she will do well in a loving and patient home. She is an absolute sweetheart, who just needs a chance to find love again. Could it be with you?
