(Almost) Wordless Wednesday - Sassy

Have you ever seen a movie where a character's name is the opposite of what they actually are? You know, like the giant named "Tiny." Or the turtle whose name is "Speedy." That's kind of how it is with our adorable, adoptable friend Sassy. This sweet and sensitive ladycat has been waiting patiently for her forever home for quite some time, and she wants everyone to know that she's not really "sassy."

That adjective may have been accurate when Sassy first arrived at PAWS, but who could blame her? She had been tormented by the children in her former home, so when she first came here, she wasn't sure who she could trust. Smart girl that she is, it didn't take her long to learn that her new human friends were sources of love and care (and food). And she went from a cat who was nervous about being pet to what you see above. Cute. Funny. Playful. Pet-able. And happy to hang with her peeps.

We're positive that 5 year-old Sassy will blossom in a forever family. Because of her past, she would do best in a quiet home, without rambunctious pets or small children. She gets along fine with other nice kitties, but would be just as happy as an only cat. Sassy is spayed, micro-chipped, current on her vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She's ready to find her new BFF. Is it you? 💖

Being sassy seems like a logical and mild responce to teasing by your family and then being left at an animal shelter! She's a beautiful girl.

Oh, Sassy has a fabulous marbled coat! I have a special furr-iend that is like a sisfur to me that is also named Sassy & she isn't "sassy" at all either, but is very kind & sweet to everpawdy. I'm sure your Sassy will find herself a forever home that treats her classy. -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews

***THAT BELLY*** Those eyes ... how can you NOT fall in love with her?! And shame on the parents who didn't bother to teach their kids how to treat another living being.

Shame on those kids' parents for allowing Sassy to be tormented. I hope she finds a loving home.

Sweet and sassy all at once. Sad that we was so tormented by the kids in her former home, but glad she is learning to trust and hopefully she will find a safe and loving home soon.

Aww, my very first kitty was named Sassy. The name did suit her, but she was still very sweet to me. I hope this Sassy is adopted soon.

Poor little sweetie, I wish people taught their children to be respectful of animals.
